  • Performs individual and group tactical actions (defense) in the educational game and competitions

Tourism and orientation in junior high school

For this educational stage, the curriculum of the Tourism core requires the student at the end of the training to have the skills to stay (bivouac) in an unfamiliar area with a compass and a topographic map. To this end, he must master:

1. How to choose a place for a bivouac and put up a tent.
2. Ecological and hygienic requirements for living in nature. 3. Knowledge of symbols and reading a topographic map.

4. Ability to determine azimuth using a compass. The participation of the students from this stage in a two-day hike in a mountainous area, using tourist equipment and facilities, is envisaged. The possibilities for interdisciplinary connections are with geography - relief, map; ecology and environmental protection; physiology - adaptation to natural conditions, etc.

 

The forms for conducting the tourist activity are:

  • Tourist games and skills in nature - camping, orienteering with a map and compass, etc.
  • Hiking
  • Ski hiking
  • Bike hikes
  • Hiking treks in summer and winter conditions
  • Climbing mountain peaks through mixed methods
  • Climbing artificial walls through lower securing
